Back to Office.

As mentioned in another article, I'm very impressed with eMClient as an email program, and I've also been checking out Softmaker's Office Suite.
So, some time ago, I decided to try out eMClient and Softmaker to get a better idea of what they’re like in the medium term. I didn’t find any real drawbacks with either program. On the contrary, eMClient in particular really won me over as an email client.
And then came the day when Microsoft Office 365 was available on Amazon for 15 months at the unbeatable price of €50.00. I simply couldn't say no, so I ordered it twice right away. Ultimately, that was the deciding factor for me to say: Back to Office.
In case you didn’t know:
You can renew your subscription for 4 years in advance.
For my two orders, I simply entered the product keys one after the other, and now I'm all set until February 2025.
At this price, it’s going to be really hard for the competition to keep up. And as I mentioned, it was impossible for me not to jump on this deal.
That doesn't mean that Softmaker Office or eMClient are bad. For me, since I also use it for work, the Microsoft product has become my first choice at this price.
March 2022 update: So far, I haven't regretted my return to Microsoft in the slightest.
October 2023 update: Since I've switched back to Linux once again, I'm using Softmaker.
